Orlando Area LGBT
Welcome To LGBT Orlando!
It's happened again! For 2014, The Advocate has ranked Orlando as one of the “Gayest Cities in America.” Our burgeoning live music & theatre venues, quaint and quirky neighborhoods, fantastic restaurants and world famous attractions make Orlando a clear contender on any list or ranking! The Advocate also ranked Orlando as the 2nd gayest city in the U.S in 2012!
Which Neighborhoods do I recommend?
It depends. If you prefer older, turn of the last century style bungalows and cobblestone streets, start first in Thornton Park...and be sure to stop at Dexter's for lunch or happy hour (it's where the local's like to go) while you are checking things out.
If you know nothing about Orlando, other than Disney, and are somewhat circumspect on moving here, your mind will quickly be at ease when you visit Thornton Park and the surrounding area...and be sure to walk a couple blocks west to Lake Eola and Downtown!
Short on time to house hunt?
Whatever the budget, one of these areas will work with the tightest to most generous budgets, and depending on the age, style, location and amenities of the property and area, these deserve top consideration.
